Job description
Boner, Slicer and Slaughterman
We are currently recruiting for full-time permanent meat workers in a variety of positions:
Slicers
Boners
Skilled Knife Hands
Slaughterman
Duties
operating switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables
cutting meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones
washing, scraping, and trimming foreign material and blood from meat
cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts
operating restrainer and stunning equipment
slitting open, eviscerating, and trimming animal carcasses
Stun and kill livestock, prepares carcasses for further processing
Benefits and perks
Minimum 38 hours per week with the potential for overtime
Salary in the range of $54,000-$59,999 p.a. plus super

Skills and experience
Previous experience (3 year plus) as Slaughterer, Knife hand, Boner, Slicer preferably to Certificate III standard
Suitable candidates without previous meat industry experience will receive fully comprehensive and nationally accredited training, leading to a fully recognised meat processing trade qualification (Cert I – IV in Meat Processing)
Physically fit and strong
Knowledge and understanding of quality requirements
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to integrate into a team with strong work ethic
Must have transport
Able to work Monday – Friday, shift work
